Competition is open to previously paid-up members, prior to the competition. NO EXCEPTIONS. |

Maximum entries of either, prints and/or transparencies is six (6) items per year. There will be one print competition held per year. For annual awards presentation, only the top four (4) scores will be tabulated for each entrant. Entries scoring 69 points or below will not hang in the tabulation. |

Photographs previously entered in D.P.P.A. competitions are ineligible. Only one (1) print per negative may be entered. This rule applies to the original and any subsequent negative generated through the electronic imaging process. Competition chairperson will decide whether the spirit of the rule has been compromised. |

NO two images shall be of the same subject within the same competition year. |

Entrant must sign the certification on entry form and enclose in case. |
| 6. |
Entrant will bring or ship prints in a fiber or similar case. Entries presented in any other type of wrapping (boxes, bags). WILL NOT be judged, but will be returned unopened. Only one (1) entrant's images per case. All entries must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled judging. |

All prints must be permanently mounted on 16x20 inch maximum 15.5 x 19.5 minimum mount board. Masonite not allowed. Entry thickness shall be minimum of 1/8 inch and a maximum of 1/4 inch at any point of the entry. The prints may not be framed, or under glass. Lamination is permitted, but not recommended. Polaroid transfers are acceptable. Minimum total area size of image must not be less than 80 square inches. Prints may be less than 16 x 20 and any shape, but must be mounted on above mentioned board. To prevent damage to other prints, no foreign material may be added to the surface of the prints other than standard retouching material. Expanded PVC (such as Sentra) is permissible; 3mm minimum, 4mm maximum. Overlays are permitted. |

Color transparencies may only be entered in the two following categories: Commercial/Industrial, and Electronic imaging. All transparencies (2.25 inch x 2.25 inch and larger) must be masked and mounted on a 12 x 12 inch black mat with the area to be viewed (minimum of 2 x 2.25 inch) cut from the mat. |

All entries will be titled. Any entry with no title or marked "Untitled", or similar notations will be disqualified. The title, name and address of entrant and classification of the entry is to be printed in the lower right corner, on the back side of the entry. Title may appear in image if title is integral part of it. |

Entrant may submit photography in any of the following classifications:
Commercial/Industrial
Portraits - Photographs of brides or weddings may not be entered in this category.
Candid/Candid Wedding - All photographs pertaining to brides, wedding or social events must be entered in this category.
Unclassified - All photographs not entered under Portrait, candid/candid wedding or industrial/commercial must be entered in this category. |

Lighting and scoring procedures will conform to P.P. of A. standards. Quartz or halogen lighting source to produce incident reading of F 16 at 1 sec. ASA of 100. A maximum of five (5) and a minimum of three (3) judges will sit on a jury. Three (3) of the judges must have attained the Master of Photography Degree, the rest must have at least (5) exhibition merits from P.P. of A. |

Each juror has the privilege of challenging a photograph. A challenge may raise or lower score. The final score will be tabulated. Circumstances may make it necessary to ask questions or give information. In such cases, the chair person will rule on the questioned situation. There must be at least two (2) Blue Ribbon photographs in a category to select Best of Category Winner. If a single print is in any category then that print is eligible for Best of Show. The Best of Show winner will be selected from ALL THE BEST OF CATEGORIES. |

Print Chairman or Jury Chairman are not allowed to enter competition. Judges are not allowed to enter the competition year that they are judging. |

Any problem arising prior to or during the judging not specifically covered by these rules will be decided by the Print Chairperson. That decision will be final. |

Any entries not in compliance with these rules will be automatically disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS. |
